2026年7月25日（土）、神埼市で開催された「第32回長崎街道かんざき宿場まつり」の総踊りに、デジタル社会共創学環、社会福祉学科のミャンマー人留学生が留学生約60名が参加しました。

本まつりは、歴史ある長崎街道の宿場町の賑わいを再現し、地域住民や各種団体が一体となって盛り上がる神埼市の伝統的なイベントです。

当日は、様々なパフォーマンスが披露される「賑いステージコンテスト」も開催され、留学生2組がコンテストに出場しました。

留学生たちにとって、地域の人々とともに温かい雰囲気を楽しみ、日本の地域文化に直に触れる貴重な文化交流の機会となりました。今回のまつりへの参加は、神埼市をはじめとする地域社会とのつながりをさらに深め、多文化共生の推進にとっても大変意義深いものとなりました。

On Saturday, July 25, 2026, about 60 international students, including Myanmar students from the Department of Digital Society Co-Creation and the Department of Social Welfare, participated in the Grand Dance (So-Odori) at the "32nd Nagasaki Kaido Kanzaki Shukuba Matsuri" held in Kanzaki City.

This festival is a traditional event in Kanzaki City that recreates the lively atmosphere of the historic Nagasaki Kaido post town, bringing together local residents and various organizations to celebrate.

On the day of the event, the "Nigiwai Stage Contest" was also held, featuring a variety of performances, and two groups of international students took part in the competition. They performed traditional Myanmar dances and impressively won 3rd place!

For the international students, it was a valuable opportunity for cultural exchange, allowing them to enjoy the warm atmosphere alongside local residents and directly experience Japanese regional culture. Participating in this festival helped deepen connections with the local community, including Kanzaki City, making it a truly meaningful step toward promoting multicultural coexistence.
