【報告】第55回佐賀城下栄の国まつり参加 [Report] Participation in the 55th Sakae-no-Kuni Saga Castle Town Festival
2026年5月24日（日）、佐賀市で開催された「第55回佐賀城下栄の国まつり」の総踊りに、西九州大学デジタル社会共創学環、社会福祉学科、健康栄養学科の留学生および教職員約70名が参加しました。
この総踊りは、地域住民や団体が佐賀の伝統的な踊りを披露する祭りのハイライトです。西九州大学の留学生たちは、祭りに向けて熱心に練習を重ねました。
本番当日、留学生たちは地域の人々とともに踊りを楽しみ、文化交流の場としても大いに盛り上がりました。総踊りへの参加は、地域社会とのつながりを深め、多文化共生の一環としても意義深いものとなりました。栄の国祭り関係者の皆さま、地域の皆さまありがとうございました。
On Sunday, May 24, 2026, approximately 70 international students and faculty/staff members from the Digital Society Co-Creation Program, Department of Social Welfare, and Department of Health and Nutrition Sciences of Nishikyushu University participated in the grand group dance performance at the “55th Sakae-no-Kuni Saga Castle Town Festival” held in Saga City.
The grand dance performance is one of the highlights of the festival, where local residents and various organizations showcase traditional dances of Saga. The international students of Nishikyushu University practiced enthusiastically in preparation for the event.
On the day of the festival, the students enjoyed dancing together with local residents, making the event a lively opportunity for cultural exchange. Participation in the grand dance performance also served as a meaningful opportunity to strengthen connections with the local community and promote multicultural coexistence.
