【報告】第54回城下栄の国まつり参加 [Report] Participation in the 54th Joka Sakaenokuni Festival
2025年6月1日（日）、佐賀市で開催された「第54回城下栄の国まつり」の総踊りに、西九州大学デジタル社会共創学環、社会福祉学科、リハビリテーション学科の留学生および教職員約70名が参加しました。
この総踊りは、地域住民や団体が佐賀の伝統的な踊りを披露する祭りのハイライトです。西九州大学の留学生たちは、祭りに向けて熱心に練習を重ね、踊りの先生方からも高い評価を受けていました。
本番当日、留学生たちは地域の人々とともに踊りを楽しみ、文化交流の場としても大いに盛り上がりました。総踊りへの参加は、地域社会とのつながりを深め、多文化共生の一環としても意義深いものとなりました。栄の国祭り関係者の皆さま、地域の皆さまありがとうございました。
西九州大学は、今後も地域との連携を強化し、留学生の地域社会への参加を積極的に支援していく方針です。
On Sunday, June 1, 2025, approximately 70 international students and faculty members from the School of Digital Society and Innovation, Department of Social Welfare, and Department of Rehabilitation at Nishikyushu University participated in the grand group dance of the 54th Joka Sakaenokuni Festival held in Saga City.
The grand group dance is the highlight of the festival, where local residents and organizations come together to perform traditional dances of Saga. In preparation for the event, the university's international students practiced diligently and received high praise from their dance instructors.
On the day of the event, the students danced alongside members of the local community, creating a vibrant atmosphere of cultural exchange. Their participation helped strengthen ties with the local society and served as a meaningful contribution to the promotion of multicultural coexistence. Thank you to everyone involved in the Sakaenokuni Festival and to all members of the local community.
Nishikyushu University will continue to strengthen its collaboration with the local community and actively support the participation of international students in regional activities.
