2025年2月18日（火）、本学ダイバシティセンターの劉（中国出身）を引率者として、ミャンマー出身の介護コースおよび多文化コースの学生6名が、川上こども園と佐賀市立川上小学校を訪問し、異文化交流を行いました

　当日、留学生たちは川上こども園で園児による太鼓のパフォーマンスを鑑賞し、川上小学校では各国の紹介やグループ活動、質疑応答を通じて、それぞれの国の魅力を伝え合いました。また日本の小学生と同じように学校給食も体験しました。多くの留学生にとって、このような体験は初めてであり、日本の小学校を訪問し、幼児や小学生と直接会話を交わし、元気で可愛らしい子どもたちと触れ合えたことは、日本の教育について学ぶ貴重な機会となりました
　留学生たちからは、「とても有意義で嬉しい経験だった。今後もこのような国際交流の機会を積極的に参加していきたい」との声が寄せられました

　この度は、貴重な機会をご提供くださった佐賀市立川上小学校の吉田校長、川上こども園の吉田理事長、そして大和ロータリークラブの皆さまに、心より感謝申し上げます。これからも、こうした交流の機会を大切にし、連携を深めてまいりたいと存じます

　On Tuesday, February 18, 2025, six students from the Caregiving and Multicultural Courses, originally from Myanmar, visited Kawakami Kodomoen (Children’s Garden) and Kawakami Elementary School, accompanied by Ms. Liu from our university’s Diversity Center (originally from China), to engage in cross-cultural exchange.

　On the day of the visit, the international students enjoyed a traditional drum performance by the children at Kawakami Kodomoen. At Kawakami Elementary School, they introduced their home countries, participated in group activities, and engaged in Q&A sessions, sharing the unique charms of their cultures. They also experienced a typical Japanese school lunch alongside local elementary students. For many of the international students, this was their first time visiting a Japanese elementary school and directly interacting with young children. The experience of speaking with energetic and adorable students provided a valuable opportunity to learn about Japan’s education system.

　The international students shared their impressions, saying, "It was a very meaningful and joyful experience. We would love to actively participate in more international exchange events like this in the future.　　

　We would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to Principal Yoshida of Kawakami Elementary School, Chairperson Yoshida of Kawakami Kodomoen, and all the members of the Yamato Rotary Club for providing us with this invaluable opportunity. Moving forward, we hope to cherish such opportunities for exchange and continue to strengthen our collaboration.
